Constitution
I believe our Constitution is an amazing document, based on the values of the time, yet designed to grow with the country. And it has grown. As in the past, our Constitution will continue to grow, as we the people deem it.
Liberties, Freedoms and Rights were made the law of the land in the Constitution. Now, with over 300 million Americans, those Liberties, Freedoms and Rights are as important as ever.
This is not your country. This is not my country. This is OUR country—and those Liberties, those Freedoms, and those Rights apply to all of us. When we restrict other’s rights, it weakens all of us. It weakens the fabric of America.
I will fight to make sure the Constitution of these United States stands, so we can each feel the elation of being part of America.
Science
Peer reviewed science is one of the cornerstones of our culture. It has advanced our lives in countless ways. Without it, you wouldn’t be reading this, driving to work, or flying to a vacation spot you love. Ice on a hot summer day? Not without science.
I won’t pander to those who pick and choose what parts of peer reviewed science to use, and what parts of science aren’t convenient to them at any given time.
I trust in peer reviewed science, and I believe it has much to offer us now and in the future.
Environment
The air we breath, the water we drink, and the connections between all life are worth fighting for—for us, our children and the planet. I want our kids—all kids, to be able to go fishing, hunting, hiking—and just play in a clean world.
Government
Of the people, by the people and for the people. Our government was set up to work for us— the people—the citizens of these United States. Over time, we let the government get out of control. There are times our legislators work, not for us, but for the big businesses that helped to get them elected. Our government is supposed to represent us. If our representatives don’t work for us, we need to remove them from the jobs we have given them. We need to take back our power and build the future we want to live in.
I will work for you, and I am asking for your vote.
We live in an amazing place.
Let’s protect it.
Remember to vote early!
Every vote counts.
